These had crafted practice swords are unique and will be crafted so yours will be “one of a kind”. The 6061 Aluminum sword blade is constructed integral to the full length of the handle full amazing balance and control. The sheaths are constructed of various wood types ranging from Jatoba, Maple, Oak, Sapella, Pine, Rosewood, and Bloodwood. The handle is kept firmly in the sheath by a set of strong magnets using a patented latching system.Stock Swords
Stock swords are prefabricated and ready for Immediate shipment. No special decal or color options are available on a stock sword order. Master Janisse, The new sword is great. After spending some time with it and working with it I am very impressed with the sword and how well it works. The sword is light weight and is great for practicing forms and has a really good feel throughout all of the techniques. I also like the way it “sings” as it slices through the air during movements. GM Janisse has provided many different designs of
scabbards using various wood types. The most common is
Poplar which is very light. The next most common is maple
which offers higher strength and hardness. Other wood
types are available such as Oak and Jatoba but require
additional time to craft the wood. Various hardwoods can
be used such as Rosewood or Blood wood or others. If you
have a specific wood you would like to have the scabbard
made from, contact Grandmaster Kevin Janisse.
